The Global Ministerial Forum on Research for Health took place in Bamako, Mali. The World Health Organization organized the event in partnership with the Council on Health Research for Development, the Global Forum for Health Research, the Government of Mali, UNESCO and the World Bank. The IDRC took part in this historic forum and commissioned Jean-Guy Brunet to create an identity for the forum’s awards event, The Global Health Leadership Awards. The approach for this international project was centred on a “research for health” theme that reflected the forum’s desire to link global health research and research in non-health sectors. His design showed people from Asia, Africa and Latin America benefiting from the results of health research. Jean-Guy combined colourful photography and rich textures to reflect the dynamic culture of the venue. All collateral pieces were produced in English, French and Spanish. Jean-Guy was responsible for design and production, as well as manufacturing and printing. The event was a success and the collateral was well received by both the client and the participants of the forum.
