The Government of Canada and its provincial/territorial counterparts introduced An Invasive Alien Species Strategy for Canada to minimize the risk of invasive alien species (IAS). A common look and feel for federal IAS communications products was needed to coordinate the communications efforts across multiple departments and agencies. Jean-Guy Brunet was chosen to develop the visual concept that would encompass the overall Invasive Alien Species Strategy, i.e. plants, insects, animals, and aquatic animals, keeping in mind the subsets of this visual concept for each thematic working group. Jean-Guy provided graphic design templates for publication covers and inside pages, booklets, brochures, fact sheets, posters, kit folders, web banners, CD/DVD jewel cases and labels, and bookmarks. The final templates were provided in English, French and bilingual formats. Jean-Guy then wrote and designed a 24-page User Guide in both English and French to clearly explain the design system and its main elements.
